BASIC FUNCTION:
The NEMT Operations dispatcher is responsible for working as part of a dispatch team to assign transportation needs efficiently and in accordance with established processes.
Assures all assigned duties are completed including but not limited to monitoring and addressing emails, Spreadsheets, Ecolane Trips, Private pays and additional duties in accordance to various contracts.
Consistently uses internal/external communication and information management systems.
This position supports ComTrans Fleet, the Ride to Care program, and any additional contracts.
This position utilizes business knowledge, independent and creative thinking.
ComTrans is a safety sensitive company.

EMPLOYEE STATUS:
Regular:
Full-time; $21.
10 - 23.
10 per hour depending on experience / non-exempt position.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred but not required
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in routing and dispatch preferred.
Age:
All ComTrans employees must be at least 18 years old.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
The Dispatcher must be able to:
Communicate effectively both verbally and written in English.
Demonstrate a functional knowledge of dispatch tasks including but not limited to routing, scheduling, mapping, time constraints, and data entry.
Maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
Demonstrate a functional of the geography of the Tri-County region, streets, addresses, directions.
Multi-task, balance workload, and demonstrate good organization skills.
Work independently with little supervision.
Be a strong team player.
Understand customer service internally and externally.
Utilize information systems and the Microsoft Office suite of Programs.
Able to quickly learn and become an expert in routing program(s) Use sound judgment in making decisions and solving problems.
Utilize time management skills - prioritizing and planning.
Physical Requirements:
While performing duties of this job, must be able to:
Stand, reach and extend arms Grasp, feel objects or controls Reach with hands and arms Talk and hear Able to lift at least 10 pounds Sit for extended periods of time Perform repetitive activities such as typing, using a telephone, computer mouse Must have adequate visual acuity as required to perform activities such as using a telephone, viewing a computer terminal, reading, preparing, and analyzing data.
Responsibilities:
Ensure scheduled trips that require manual assignment are routed to external providers.
Process same day and urgent requests, communicating directly with external providers to cover trips.
Identify and respond to transportation issues, work with members and/or provider(s) to resolve trip issues (late, no-shows, etc.
) Review trips requests for accuracy (address, appointment time, return times, etc.
) Answer calls as needed from transportation providers, facilities, members and member representatives and communicate with providers and community partners to resolve customer issues (ETA's, no-show, etc.
) Provide customers with trip confirmations and ETA's, call providers when necessary.
Work with providers in providing trip data.
Meet or exceed established call handling and customer service expectations.
Perform data entry as required Other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
